MCLBA - Overview
The Midland County Land Bank Authority is a public entity dedicated to strengthening our community by returning vacant, abandoned, and tax-foreclosed properties to productive use. Established in 2025, our goal is to promote economic growth, support neighborhood stabilization, and improve quality of life for residents across Midland County.
We work to transform underutilized properties into opportunities. By acquiring, managing, and redeveloping tax-foreclosed and blighted properties, we aim to:
- Reduce blight and enhance neighborhood safety
- Support attainable housing and economic development
- Increase property values and local tax revenue
- Encourage private investment and community revitalization
By addressing blight and creating pathways to ownership and development, the Land Bank Authority plays a vital role in strengthening Midland County. Each property we return to productive use represents a safer neighborhood, a stronger tax base, and a new opportunity for a family or business.
As a public authority, we are committed to transparency, responsible stewardship, and compliance with Michigan law. Our board meetings are open to the public, and we strive to make our processes clear, fair, and accessible.
